Donors
Washington Area Women’s Foundation is supported by the generosity of donors who are determined to help end poverty in our community by investing in women and girls. Whether donating as individuals, participating in a giving circle, or planning a legacy, this community of changemakers is moving from charity to catalytic philanthropy — and real impact.
Become a Donor
Individual donors are essential to the sustainability and growth of the Foundation. As part of the new $6.5 million Campaign to Prosperity, The Women’s Foundation has recently changed its donor recognition structure to offer more opportunities for donors to give at a variety of levels. Click here for the new donor giving levels and benefits. To learn more about any of these opportunities or to discuss your personal giving, please contact Vice President Jennifer Lockwood-Shabat at jlockwoodshabat@wawf.org or 202.347.7737.
Join a Giving Circle
The Women’s Foundation has two giving circles that enable members to pool their resources and then decide together which nonprofits will receive their funds. Click here for more information about the African American Women’s Giving Circle and the Rainmakers Giving Circle. For questions about the giving circles, please contact Nicole Cozier at ncozier@wawf.org or (202)347-7737 x203.
