Washington Area Women’s Foundation Announces

New Board Member

James MacGregor, Publisher of Washington Business Journal Joins Board

 

March 17, 2016 – James MacGregor has been named to the Board of the Directors for Washington Area Women’s Foundation, the only donor-supported, public foundation solely dedicated to building economic security for women and girls in the Washington D.C. metro area. James will start his term immediately.

 

James has served as publisher of the Washington Business Journal since October 2014. Previously, he served as the publisher of the Silicon Valley Business Journal in San Jose, California for seven years and was the advertising director for the San Francisco Business Times prior to that. James is a native of Toronto.

 

“James will be critical in building The Women’s Foundation’s engagement of our region’s business community to help support the economic security of women and their families,” said Jennifer Lockwood-Shabat, President and CEO, Washington Area Women’s Foundation. “James has long been a passionate advocate for women and girls and we are thrilled to have him join our Board.”
