August is Black Philanthropy Month, a celebration of the powerful legacy of Black giving and the extraordinary impact that’s possible for EVERYONE when we invest intentionally in Black communities.
It’s also an opportunity to close funding gaps and create greater equity in philanthropy by directing more resources to Black-led and Black-serving organizations, strengthening women-centered solutions, and building the long-term capacity for communities to thrive.
At Washington Area Women’s Foundation, that means directing resources to organizations supporting women and girls throughout the Washington-DC region.
