Washington Area Women’s Foundation Announces New 2017 Board Members
Janene Jackson, Partner, Holland & Knight and Michelle McGuire, Vice President and Chief of Staff, Children’s National Medical Center, Join Board
May 2, 2017 – Janene Jackson and Michelle McGuire, have been named to the Board of Directors for Washington Area Women’s Foundation, the only donor-supported, public foundation solely dedicated to building economic security for women and girls in the Washington D.C. metro area. They will start their terms immediately.
Janene Jackson is a partner in Holland & Knight’s Public Policy & Regulation Group. Ms. Jackson focuses her practice on local government navigation, legislative and regulatory counseling and D.C. municipal law. Having worked in all branches of the government of the District of Columbia, she brings a 360-degree approach to strategy development and lobbying.
Michelle McGuire is Vice President and Chief of Staff. She serves as an adviser to the CEO providing strategic oversight and ensuring alignment of organizational priorities. Michelle’s responsibilities also include leading special projects for the health system and partnering with members of the executive team on the execution of critical business functions across the organization.
