— Earlier this week, Ashley McSwain, the executive director of Our Place DC — a Women’s Foundation Grantee Partner — testified before a House subcommittee at a hearing called “Federal D.C. — Shoppers in Maryland and Virginia will be getting a tax break — just in time for back-to-school shopping. From August 8-14 in Maryland, clothing under $100 will be tax exempt.
